Your Role: As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will be essential in producing high-quality ultrasound images of the heart and blood vessels, aiding in accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of echocardiography exams, including stress echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography.
Utilize advanced imaging techniques such as two-dimensional, color Spectral Doppler, and M- mode imaging.
Work independently and consult with physicians for complex or unexpected findings.
Manage patient care throughout the examination process, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Demonstrate expertise in providing age-appropriate services for diverse patient populations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Training: Associates Degree or equivalent, or completion of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program.
License & Certification: RDCS/RCS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from ARMDS or
Registered Cardiac Sonographer from CCI. AHA BLS Certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: 2+ years of full-time experience in a dedicated echocardiography laboratory.
Additional Certification: RVT through ARDMS or RVS through CCI, or eligibility to sit for the registry exam.
Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in or willingness to cross-train for vascular examinations.
Ability to handle patients, equipment, and supplies with physical dexterity.
Function independently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Operate HIS and CIS computers effectively.
Knowledge of clinical emergency equipment such as oxygen tanks and suction apparatus.
