Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our team in Savannah, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and historical data to deliver accurate estimates of materials, labor, and equipment required for project completion. Your expertise will guide the creation of competitive project budgets and support informed decision-making by management.
This position is pivotal in ensuring the success of our projects, requiring strong analytical skills, industry experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct detailed takeoffs and utilize historical data to prepare accurate project estimates.
· Ensure that files and documents related to estimates are organized and include accurate supplier pricing, market trends, and other relevant information.
· Prepare and deliver detailed reports, bid packages, and project insights to field personnel for awarded bids.
· Provide recommendations on design alternatives, considering cost, material availability, and engineering quality.
· Uphold and enforce company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
· Take ownership of estimating mid- to large-scale roadways projects with minimal supervision.
· Work closely with management, vendors, and internal/external teams to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating.
· A degree in Engineering or equivalent technical training/experience.
· Proficiency in estimating and bidding software.
· Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
· Exceptional skills in leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and organization.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with professionalism in interacting with all stakeholders.
· In-depth knowledge of industry standards, market trends, and construction methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in large-scale construction projects.
· Advanced proficiency with specific estimating software tools.
· Certifications in construction management or a related field.
Compensation:
· Base Salary: $90,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
