Job Description:

Responsibilities

 Core Development:

• Writing and reviewing backend code.
• Designing APIs, data models, and service architecture. 
• Optimizing performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshooting production issues 

Technical Ownership:

• Defining coding standards and best practices.
• Planning and estimating sprints · Managing CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Overseeing cloud infrastructure and environment configuration.

Collaboration & Support:

• Mentoring junior developers.
• Coordinating with product, QA, and frontend teams.
• Providing technical guidance and unblocking the team.

 Planning & Prioritization · 

• Translating product requirements into technical tasks.
• Assessing effort, risks, and dependencies.
• Managing sprint planning, backlog grooming, and roadmap alignment.
• Ensuring scope is realistic for team capacity.

Stakeholder Communication · 

• Providing updates to product managers, founders, or clients.
• Communicating timelines, blockers, and technical trade-offs.
• Coordinating with frontend, QA, DevOps, product, security and data teams.
• Representing backend considerations in cross-functional discussions.
  

Leadership & People Management:

• Conducting 1:1s, giving feedback, and supporting growth.
• Helping team members improve code quality and architectural thinking.
• Setting expectations, reinforcing accountability, and promoting team culture.
• Align backend KPIs with business outcomes and delivery timelines.

Working Mode: Onsite
Location: Lahore, Pakistan
Experience: 5 plus years
Work time: Monday - Friday (11 am - 8 pm),
