Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Node.js Architect with 810+ years of professional backend engineering experience to lead the architectural vision, development, and optimization of mission-critical platforms. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Node.js, real-time communication systems (Sockets), and relational database design with PostgreSQL.

You will drive the architecture roadmap, establish best practices, optimize performance at scale, and mentor engineering teams to deliver secure and high-availability solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and lead development of distributed backend systems using Node.js (TypeScript preferred)

• Define scalable application frameworks, APIs, and microservices aligned with enterprise standards

• Design and optimize complex relational database schemas, indexing, and query performance for PostgreSQL

• Build real-time messaging and event-driven applications using WebSockets / Socket.IO / Kafka / Redis Streams

• Implement advanced caching strategies, sharding, partitioning, and data replication for large-scale systems

• Ensure system stability, reliability, and fault tolerance with high uptime SLAs

• Lead security design, threat modeling, and adherence to compliance standards

• Perform system load analysis, capacity planning, and advanced performance tuning

• Mentor engineering teams; conduct design reviews and enforce architectural governance

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to solution architecture proposals
  

Technical Expertise Required

• Node.js (Express/NestJS/Fastify), TypeScript

• PostgreSQL (Partitioning, CTEs, Replication, Full-Text search, Index management)

• Real-Time Communication: WebSockets, Socket.IO, pub/sub, message brokers

• Microservices, DDD & Clean Architecture principles

• Advanced SQL query optimization & relational modeling

• Knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven design

• DevOps familiarity CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring & observability (ELK/Prometheus/Grafana

• Git & modern code delivery practices

Nice-To-Have

• Experience in Telecom, VoIP, FinTech, or high-message-volume platforms

• Cloud experience (AWS / GCP / Azure)

• Knowledge of Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ

• Experience leading remote & multi-domain engineering teams
