About the Role:
As a Sales Representative, you will own the outbound sales process end-to-end: identifying and targeting UK-based kitchen operators, reaching out via cold email and calls, running sales conversations on phone and Google Meet, negotiating terms, and closing partnerships directly. You will also support contract building and documentation as part of the closing process, and maintain ongoing communication post-sale helping resolve partner queries when needed by coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and continued performance. This role is ideal for someone who is confident in communicating with UK-based operators, enjoys outbound selling, and is motivated by targets and measurable performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle outbound sales: Source leads, run outreach, qualify, pitch, negotiate, and close partnerships via phone and Google Meet.
- Cold outreach writing: Craft high-quality outbound messages tailored to the lead (clear, persuasive, UK-appropriate tone).
- Discovery & consultative selling: Understand operator needs (capacity, margins, location, operational setup) and position Cookd Brands accordingly.
- Live sales calls & presentations: Deliver structured pitches on Google Meet; tailor proposals to the operator and postcode/territory opportunity.
- Objection handling & negotiation: Confidently address pricing, competitor comparisons, operational concerns, and commercial terms.
- Contract building & documentation: Prepare and manage partner contracts, collect required details, ensure terms are clear, and coordinate internal approvals/sign-off.
- Partner onboarding support: Ensure smooth activation by confirming key requirements, timelines, and expectations with the partner.
- Ongoing partner communication: Maintain relationships after signing, handle follow-ups, support queries, and help resolve partner issues by coordinating with Operations/Support when required.
- Pipeline ownership (CRM): Maintain accurate records of activities in the CRM (notes, outcomes, next steps, follow-up dates, close dates/forecasting).
- Lead filtering & territory targeting: Segment and prioritize leads by postcode/coverage, capacity, and relevance; build target lists for specific areas.
- Competitive awareness: Track competitor offerings and market feedback; use insights to improve outreach, talk tracks, and objection handling.
- Performance tracking: Track weekly KPIs (connect rate, reply rate, meeting/show rate, proposal-to-close %, cycle time, closures/activations) and iterate to improve results.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 2 years experience in inside sales / outbound B2B / telesales / partnerships, or a strong communicator ready to learn fast.
- Impeccable English fluency (written + spoken) with confidence speaking to UK-based operators professionally.
- Comfortable with cold calling, objection handling, and consistent follow-ups; resilient and target-driven.
- Experience using CRMs and email systems; disciplined about pipeline hygiene and accurate updates.
- Strong research skills: can find leads, validate information, and create prioritized lists by postcode/region and business type.
- Commercial awareness—able to understand the competitive landscape and explain why our offer wins.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable supporting contract building/documentation and coordinating internal approvals.
- Able to manage partner relationships beyond the close, including basic issue triage and coordination with internal teams.
