US Based Supermarket Giant is Expanding its team in Pakistan.

Opening: Senior Systems Administrator
Overview:
The company is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior System Administrator to manage and maintain its organizations IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in system architecture, server and network administration, cloud technologies, cybersecurity best practices, and automation. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of mission critical systems and will mentor junior team members. This position will report directly to the Director of IT.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware).
• Manage and monitor server environments, including Windows and Linux systems.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Configure and manage storage solutions, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure high availability of applications and services through monitoring and proactive maintenance.
• Apply patches, updates, and security hardening across systems and infrastructure.
• Lead the automation of routine administrative tasks using tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, or Python.
• Participate in infrastructure planning, budgeting, and scaling eAorts.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage enterprise tools such as firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, RMM, and endpoint protection.
• Work closely with development, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to align infrastructure with business needs. 
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior administrators and support staA.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in system administration in a mid-to-large scale environment.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server and/or Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN, VLANs).
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Datadog, Datto RMM, PRTG).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to systems management.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred But Not Required:

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or similar.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation. 
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to ITIL or similar service management frameworks.

Work time: Monday - Friday (6:30 pm - 3:30 am) & Saturday (Half Day)
