Hiring for Retail & Gas Company who manages multiple Gas Stations, Convenience Stores, Retail Shopping Strips, ATMs, Food Joints, & construction projects.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Controller to oversee the accounting and financial operations for our growing chain of retail stores and gas stations across the United States. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial accuracy, driving operational efficiencies, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across multiple locations.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements (e.g., tax, fuel reporting, environmental financial regulations).

  • Develop internal control policies, procedures, and systems to safeguard company assets.

  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Work closely with store and station managers to optimize inventory management and cost controls.

  • Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.

  • Implement financial systems and tools to improve automation, reporting, and efficiency.

  • Provide financial insight and recommendations to support growth and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

  • 7+ years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Experience in retail, convenience store, or fuel/gas station operations highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory reporting.

  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar ERP systems).

  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple locations and a distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with fuel tax filings, inventory shrink analysis, and POS systems

  • Familiarity with environmental and fuel compliance financial reporting.

  • Hands-on experience integrating financial systems post-acquisition or during expansions.

Work Timings: (10:00 am to 7: 00 pm)

Work Days: Monday - Friday
