About Our Client:

Our client is a manufacturing company for Boxing, MMA and Martial Arts.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Shopify Web Developer to lead front-end and back-end development of our e-commerce platform. You will be responsible for customizing themes, building new features, maintaining site speed and security, and ensuring optimal user experience across devices. The role requires close collaboration with the design team and Head of Marketing to bring the brand vision to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance our Shopify-based website for performance, security, and scalability.
• Customize and build Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON.
• Create and optimize custom landing pages, product pages, and UX/UI elements based on design mockups.
• Implement and integrate 3rd-party apps and tools including Klaviyo, review platforms, payment systems, and others.
• Improve site speed, troubleshoot bugs, and optimize mobile responsiveness.
• Build new features and functionalities that improve conversion, navigation, and engagement.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and website accessibility.
• Support the SEO team with clean, optimized code that aligns with technical SEO best practices.
• Stay current with Shopify updates, e-commerce trends, and new technologies.

Qualifications:

• 4 to 7 years of web development experience, with at least 2 years focused on Shopify.
• Proficiency in Shopify's Liquid templating language, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including frameworks like jQuery).
• Experience with third-party APIs and app integrations (e.g., Klaviyo, Yotpo, Recharge).
• Understanding of UX principles and responsive design.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and technical SEO implementation.
• Comfortable working within a collaborative team including designers and marketers.
• Mid to senior level experience preferred; e-commerce experience is essential.
