A Leading US-based web solutions company is hiring a senior-level Android Architect with deep expertise in Kotlin and/or Java for its Karachi office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect high-performance Android applications using modern development practices.

  • Define and enforce clean architecture principles (MVVM, Clean Architecture, Jetpack Compose, etc.).

  • Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

  • Optimize performance, memory usage, and responsiveness across a range of Android devices.

  • Lead and mentor the Android team, conducting code reviews and technical evaluations.

  • Oversee the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with security standards, privacy guidelines, and Google Play policies.

  • Stay up to date with Android trends and drive innovation across projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Android development experience, with at least 3 years in an architect or lead engineer role.

  • Expert in Kotlin and/or Java with solid experience in Android SDK and Jetpack libraries.

  • Strong grasp of coroutines, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.

  • Familiar with Jetpack Compose, LiveData, Room, Navigation, and related components.

  • Experience in integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party SDKs.

  • Proficient with Android Studio, debugging/profiling tools, and Git.

  • Experience with unit testing, Espresso, and other testing frameworks.

  • Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams with clear sprint planning and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with fintech, stock market, or other real-time data-driven applications.

  • Familiarity with Firebase, AWS, or other cloud-based services.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitrise, Jenkins, Fastlane).

  • Working knowledge of cross-platform frameworks like Flutter or React Native is a plus.

  • Exposure to containerization and DevOps workflows.
