Job Description:

The role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and platforms within the Azure ecosystem. The position ensures high-quality, reliable data infrastructure to enable analytics, reporting, and business decision-making across GBS

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and data scientists to define data requirements and translate them into efficient, scalable solutions.
• Support enterprise data strategy by recommending best practices in data architecture, governance, and pipeline design.
• Contribute to Azure data platform roadmap initiatives and adoption of emerging data technologies.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen2), Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL.
• Architect and deploy ETL/ELT workflows for structured and semi-structured data sources, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Monitor pipeline executions and system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows for efficiency.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability across all platforms.
• Enforce data governance, security, and access control standards in compliance with organizational policies.
• Document technical designs, workflows, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
• Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable knowledge sharing and smooth operations.
• Mentor junior team members on best practices in Azure data engineering, ETL development, and CI/CD workflows.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize data pipelines and workflows for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to enhance data quality, automate manual processes, and improve operational effectiveness.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, source control, and process improvements using Azure DevOps or similar tools.

Requirements:

- Expertise with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage (Gen2), Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT workflows for structured and semi-structured data.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.

- Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
  Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure)
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent academic background)

Other Details:

• Experience: 6-8 Years of Experience
• Working Days: Monday to Friday
• Work Timings: 9:30am - 6:30pm
• Work Mode: Full Time Onsite in KHI/Islamabad.
