Role Overview – Project Coordinator
Role Summary/ Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support project managers by organizing resources, managing schedules, tracking progress, and facilitating communication to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, handling administrative tasks like scheduling meetings, updating documents, reporting, and ensuring team alignment with project goals and milestones from initiation to completion.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain project timelines, schedules, and task lists; organize meetings, agendas, and stakeholder communications.
Update project plans, track progress, prepare status reports, and maintain project documentation.
Serve as a liaison between the project manager, engineering, and DC team members, and ensure everyone is informed.
Assist with allocating resources and ensuring teams have what they need.
Track milestones, identify potential issues or blockers, and escalate risks as needed.
Handle administrative tasks like billing, bookkeeping, and other project management support functions.
Supporting smooth day-to-day project execution.
Escalating issues to the project manager as needed.
Communicating with internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
Education: Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience managing large-scale road and bridge construction projects, including oversight of QC/QA, safety compliance, and budget control.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of construction processes, material management, project planning, and industry-standard project management tools.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate multidisciplinary teams under tight deadlines.
Adaptability: Ability to work in challenging environments, deliver results under pressure, and travel within Libya as needed.
- Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
