Senior Accountant (Onsite | Karachi | PKR Salary)

Hiring for one of the leading stock brokerage house in Pakistan.

Job Description:

 We are seeking an experienced and qualified Head of Accounts to lead the accounting and financial reporting function of our Pakistan-based stock brokerage firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing financial insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounting team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and bank reconciliation.
• Monthly working of dealers.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SECP, PSX, and CDC regulations.
•  Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
•  Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
• Oversee and posting client payments/ receipts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
  
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to regulatory authorities.
•  Collaborate with other departments, including trading, sales, and compliance, to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
•  Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  
  Requirements:
  
  
•  Minimum Graduate or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a stock brokerage firm
•  Strong knowledge of Pakistani accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements
  
• Proven track record of managing accounting teams and improving financial reporting
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
•  Proficiency in accounting software, including SAP or Oracle
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  
  Preferred Qualifications:
  
  
• Experience with financial reporting and compliance in a regulated environment
  
• Familiarity with trading platforms and systems
  
• Strong understanding of financial markets and products
•  MBA/Master's degree in Accounting or Finance

Location: Karachi, Pakistan
Experience: 4 plus years
Work time: Monday - Friday (9am - 6pm)
