This is a high-responsibility editorial role responsible for running day-to-day content operations, managing writers, and translating strategy into consistent, high-quality execution aligned with business goals.
You will act as the operational backbone of the content team, ensuring clarity of direction, smooth execution, and continuous improvement. This role works directly with the Content Manager and functions as their right hand, ensuring strategy turns into measurable outcomes.
What You'll Own:
Editorial & Content Operations
- Ensure smooth execution of the editorial calendar and publishing pipeline
Ensure content aligns with defined KPIs and OKRs
- Balance output across funnel stages, audiences, and business priorities
Maintain consistency across tone, structure, and positioning
Identify bottlenecks and improve workflow efficiency
Editorial Calendar Ownership
Own the editorial calendar end-to-end
Adjust the calendar based on performance insights and learnings
- Coordinate with writers to ensure deadlines and quality expectations are met
Writer Management & Development
Manage writers and guide day-to-day execution
Review drafts and provide structured editorial feedback
Coach writers to improve clarity, structure, and usefulness
Identify skill gaps and create improvement plans
Train writers on intent-driven writing and research depth
- Help writers understand audience, funnel, and positioning for every piece of content
Raise quality benchmarks across the team
- Evaluate the writer's performance based on quality and strategic thinking
Research, Competitor Analysis & Industry Intelligence
Stay updated on workspace trends and industry shifts
Monitor competitor content and positioning
Share insights with the team to improve direction
Identify gaps and differentiation opportunities
Bring market intelligence into editorial planning
Learning Culture & Knowledge Ownership
Maintain a shared reading list for the team
Share industry reports, articles, and insights
Encourage continuous learning and discussion
Help writers build subject matter expertise
Ensure the team stays updated on product knowledge
Document editorial standards and learnings
Quality Control & Editorial Judgment
- Ensure content is:
aligned with audience intent and brand

What Makes You a Great Fit
4+ years in content, editorial, or content marketing roles
Experience managing writers or content contributors
Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
Ability to manage content calendars and workflows
Experience working toward KPIs and OKRs
Strong research and competitor analysis skills
Understanding of SEO fundamentals and content strategy
Ability to coach and develop writers
Highly organized and structured in execution
Analytical mindset with performance-driven thinking
- Strong marketing sense and understanding of content's role in growth
Understanding of funnel-based marketing and user journeys
Ability to connect content decisions with business outcomes
- Experience creating content that supports acquisition and conversion
