Role Overview:
The role is accountable for ensuring the stability, performance, and smooth operation of all digital production platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
Own end-to-end digital production operations across web, mobile, APIs, middleware, and integrations.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of all digital services with strict adherence to SLAs/OLAs.
Lead and mature production support functions, including L1–L3 teams, monitoring, on-call operations, and vendor partners.
Drive effective ITIL practices – including incident, problem, change, release, and capacity management.
Act as the central escalation point for all digital production issues and major incidents, ensuring quick resolution and clear communication.
Enable proactive monitoring, observability, and automation to reduce downtime and operational noise.
Collaborate with business, development, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure seamless deployments and operational readiness.
Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring platforms meet regulatory, security, and compliance requirements.
Continuously improve operational processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance service resilience.
Provide strategic direction and strong operational leadership to support business growth and digital transformation.
Responsibilities:
Define and own the digital production operations strategy, ensuring stable, scalable, and secure platforms across mobile, web, APIs, middleware, and integrations.
Establish end-to-end service reliability standards (SLOs/SLIs for availability, performance, incident response, error budgets, capacity thresholds).
Drive operational governance including incident, problem, change, release, and environment management aligned with ITIL and enterprise architecture.
Ensure robust security posture in production (API protection, encryption standards, secure secrets handling, compliance with identity protocols such as OAuth2/OIDC, and strong certificate/key management).
Shape and influence backend/API stability strategies, ensuring contracts, throughput, latency and resiliency patterns meet production-grade requirements.
Define monitoring, observability, and alerting frameworks, covering logs, metrics, traces, real-time incident detection, and automated health checks
- Drive automation-first operations, including automated deployments, rollback strategies, self-healing, capacity auto-scaling and operational workflow automation.
Partner with business, development, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to align production capabilities with digital roadmaps, release plans, and technology modernization initiatives.
Plan and oversee capacity, performance, and cost optimization across all digital production environments.
Lead operational risk management, ensuring continuity planning, disaster recovery readiness, and adherence to regulatory and audit requirements
Requirements:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Relevant professional or technical certifications, such as:
ITIL 4 Foundation
Splunk, Datadog, or New Relic Observability Certifications
Cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure Administrator/Architect/Developer, AWS Solutions Architect)
DevOps / SRE / ITIL certifications supporting operational excellence
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent academic background)
Proven experience managing large-scale digital platforms in production, including mobile apps, APIs, and cloud services.
Track record of improving platform stability, performance, and operational efficiency (reduced incidents, improved SLAs, stronger reliability metrics).
Experience operating high-traffic consumer or enterprise applications, with focus on uptime, resilience, and user experience.
Strong background working in agile and DevOps-driven environments, with mature CI/CD, monitoring, and release processes.
Experience leading operations for complex enterprise ecosystems, including multi-system integrations and vendor coordination.
8+ years of experience in digital technology, including operating or supporting large-scale mobile, web, and backend platforms in production.
5+ years managing production environments (mobile apps, APIs, cloud services), including incident response, release management, and performance optimization.
