About the job Web Manager | Lahore (On-site) | PKR Salary
About the Company:
Hiring for a Certified, US-based Digital Marketing Agency focused on maximizing your Marketing ROI.
Role Overview - Web Manager
About the Role
The Web Manager owns the web department end-to-end — strategy, delivery, and technical quality. You lead and mentor the web team, act as the final QA gate before anything ships, build in preventive safeguards against technical mishaps, and continuously find ways to deliver faster through smarter workflows and automation.
Non-Negotiables
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
7+ years of hands-on website management/development experience; at least 3 years in a USA-based digital marketing agency
Proven leadership managing web teams across multiple concurrent clients and internal projects
Deep CMS proficiency: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of UX/UI, responsive design, and CRO/landing page optimization
Comfortable owning both strategic delivery and hands-on technical QA — this is not a delegate-everything role
Proven ability to set realistic timelines and hold team and self accountable to them
English communication strong enough to lead client and stakeholder conversations with confidence
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Mentorship
Lead, mentor, and coach the web team, growing team members and helping them adapt to changing industry trends and tools
Set clear goals, assign tasks, give constructive feedback, and hold the team accountable to standards
Ensure every team member follows standardized workflows, coding standards, and QA checklists
Task Ownership & Delivery
Own end-to-end delivery of website projects: new builds, revamps, and migrations
Own project timelines and ensure on-time, on-quality delivery across every web deliverable
Manage scope changes and shifting priorities without compromising delivery commitments
Find more efficient delivery workflows and automate repeatable project parts (staging deployment, QA checklists, reporting) to save the team's hours
Run sprint-based execution: sprint planning, backlog prioritization, async check-ins, and retrospectives
Preventive Technical Risk Management
Enforce staging environments for every change before it touches production
Own automated backup schedules, uptime monitoring (UptimeRobot/Pingdom), SSL renewal tracking, and security patch cadence
Maintain Git-based version control discipline with clear rollback paths for every deployment
Run proactive technical, security, and performance audits to catch issues before they become client-facing incidents
Own the incident response protocol for site outages or critical bugs
Quality Assurance
Act as the final QA gate for everything the web team ships — functionality, design fidelity, responsiveness, performance (Core Web Vitals), and SEO hygiene
Enforce a zero-defect standard before anything reaches a client
Service Delivery & Client Communication
Translate client and stakeholder requirements into structured project plans, milestones, and tasks
Lead client and stakeholder communication on project status, roadblocks, and results
Address and resolve website-related issues proactively to protect client satisfaction
CRO & Performance
Use heatmaps and CRO tools to analyze user behavior and drive UX/UI improvements
Take proactive ownership of Digilatics' own website: regular audits, approved changes, and UX/performance improvements
Collaborate with the Paid Ads team to build high-converting landing pages tailored to campaign goals
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Track KPIs: delivery timeliness, quality/rework rate, site performance metrics, and team productivity
Prepare and present regular reports with actionable insights from audits, CRO findings, and project performance
Stay current with web development, CRO, and industry trends and tools, and bring innovations back to the team
Productive use of AI to enhance team productivity and bring efficient solutions to the table
Tools and Technical Skills
CMS & E-commerce: WordPress (frontend/backend, visual editors), Webflow, Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace
Frontend: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, modern JS frameworks
Backend: PHP (including Laravel), MySQL, SQL Server, REST API development and integration
DevOps & Hosting: Git/GitHub/GitLab, WPEngine, SiteGround, cPanel, WHM, AWS, GoDaddy
Performance & Monitoring: Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, UptimeRobot, Pingdom
SEO & CRO: Screaming Frog, SEMrush/Ahrefs, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Hotjar/Crazy Egg/Microsoft Clarity, A/B testing platforms
Project Management: ClickUp, Trello, Asana, Agile/Scrum methodology
Ideal Candidate Traits
A technical and strategic thinker, not just an executor
A proactive risk-spotter, not a reactive firefighter
Mentor-minded and genuinely invested in growing the team
Obsessive about quality — nothing 'good enough' ships on your watch
Efficiency-oriented — automates instead of repeating manual work
Do Not Apply If You
Ship without QA because of a deadline
Avoid difficult conversations about quality or missed timelines
Manage tasks instead of owning outcomes
Aren't comfortable being hands-on technically as well as leading a team.
