The Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned Audit Director with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique audit requirements and challenges faced by nonprofit organizations and demonstrate a passion for enhancing their financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage audit engagements for nonprofit clients, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audits, including financial statement audits and compliance audits.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging issues affecting nonprofit organizations.
  • Collaborate with partners and other departments to identify opportunities for service enhancements and business growth.
  • Mentor and develop audit staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the highest quality of audit work and adherence to professional standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on nonprofit organizations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of audit standards and nonprofit accounting principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
