The Opportunity:
Our Client is actively recruiting a Patent Agent to join the Intellectual Property group in our Chicago, Denver, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Washington DC, or Wilmington offices.
This position offers the opportunity to be involved with all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution. Successful candidates should have a bachelors degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field. Successful candidates should also have two or more years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications on related technologies. Applicants with experience in drafting and prosecuting AI and machine learning patents are preferred. Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required. Candidates must be collaborative and motivated to succeed in a client-focused, team-oriented environment. Preferred candidates will have excellent academic credentials and have strong written and oral communication skills.
This position offers competitive compensation and unlimited potential for professional growth. Current firm plans for returning to work include an average of 2-3 days in the office. The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $110,000 - $180,000. Actual initial salary will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law. The initial salary range listed above is just one component of The Clients total compensation and benefits package for attorneys, which includes, but is not limited to, productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
