Job Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on and strategic HR Manager to oversee HR operations for a team of two, supporting industrial field employees. This role demands agility, with the ability to change gears throughout the day to address various HR needs. Key responsibilities include driving HR strategy, ensuring compliance, and maintaining strong employee relations. This role will also oversee compliance for craft employees in a fast-paced, operational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Employee Relations & Engagement

    • Serve as the primary HR contact for employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
    • Conduct investigations into grievances and disciplinary matters, ensuring fair policy application.
    • Facilitate training on topics such as conflict resolution and workplace behavior.
    • Promote positive relations through regular communication and engagement activities.
  2. Strategic HR Planning & Business Partnering

    • Align HR strategy with organizational goals and workforce planning initiatives.
    • Provide insights based on HR metrics, focusing on productivity, turnover, and employee satisfaction.
    • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
    • Guide succession planning, performance management, and leadership development.
  3. Benefits & General HR Administration

    • Administer benefits programs, acting as the primary contact for employee benefits inquiries.
    • Partner with external vendors for accurate benefits management, including open enrollment.
    • Manage HRIS updates, employee records, and data integrity to ensure consistent HR processes.
  4. Onboarding & Offboarding

    • Manage recruitment and onboarding, partnering with hiring managers to ensure seamless integration for new hires.
    • Oversee offboarding procedures, including conducting exit interviews and processing terminations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, including employee relations in a blue-collar or field environment.
  • Familiarity with Safety Councils and safety compliance for craft or blue-collar employees.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must speak, read and write English and Spanish.
