Principal Power BI Engineer (Remote, Anywhere in Pakistan, PKR Salary)

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience as a backend engineer with a focus on Power BI solutions.
• Sound knowledge of Power BI architecture, data modelling, DAX, and AML.
• Proficient in designing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and data warehouses.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and processes for data integration.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design, Implement and Maintain robust backend solutions to support Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with data analysts, business intelligence teams, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Optimize and tune existing Power BI datamodels/datasets for performance and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues related to data connectivity, refresh failures, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement security measures to ensure data privacy and compliance with industry standards.
• Stay abreast of Power BI updates and industry best practices to continuously improve backend processes.
• Work closely with database administrators and IT teams to ensure seamless integration with underlying data sources.
• Document backend processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on Power BI backend functionalities, as required.
• Participate in day-to-day project and agile meetings and provide technical support for faster resolution of issues.
• Clearly and concisely communicating to the business, on status of items and blockers.
• Have an end-to-end knowledge of the data landscape within Lebara.
