Legal Counsel - AI & Web3 (Retainership, Remittance Salary)

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable institution; a Masters degree (LLM) or other advanced legal qualifications will be an advantage.
• Licensed to practice law in Pakistan.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, with a preference for candidates who have experience in the tech industry, particularly in AI and Web3.
• Strong knowledge of Pakistani corporate laws and regulations, as well as familiarity with international legal standards and practices.
• Proven experience in managing complex legal matters and transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues across our entities in Pakistan, Singapore, and the US.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, licensing agreements, and service contracts.
• Oversee the company's legal affairs, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and international laws and regulations.
• Advise on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions.
• Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
• Handle employment law matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to protect the companys interests and mitigate risks.
• Liaise with external legal counsel as needed and manage relationships with law firms and other legal service providers.
• Stay updated on legal developments in the AI and Web3 sectors and ensure the companys operations are aligned with these changes.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support the companys strategic initiatives.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on legal matters and best practices.
