DevOps Engineering Platform Manager (Remote, Pakistan, PKR Salary)

Responsibilities:

• Create vision and strategy for feature-rich DevOps platforms.
• Develop strategies for ROI improvement, DevOps adoption, and optimal tool usage.
• Lead team in designing, operating, and maintaining secure, scalable infrastructure.
• Determine staffing needs; handle hiring, performance management, and mentoring.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
• Utilize governance processes to prioritize work.
• Define, track, and publish metrics to measure accomplishments and performance.
• Make budget recommendations; prepare reports for senior management.
• Ensure DevOps platforms comply with Cybersecurity policies.
• Plan and implement security measures to safeguard information.
• Establish capacity and scalability planning processes.
• Develop and implement practices for performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Work closely with leadership, product teams, and stakeholders to meet objectives.
• Provide clear, regular communication on project status, issues, and deliverables.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and new technologies.
• Engage in Proof-of-Value scoping for new tools and present findings.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions.
• Guide troubleshooting efforts and ensure high-quality automation standards.
• Coordinate disaster planning, mitigation, and recovery efforts.
• Manage team development plans, goal setting, and personal growth objectives.
• Participate in hiring while ensuring compliance with equal employment standards.
• Handle staffing, performance, and resource management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience managing direct reports and working with DevOps/Platform Engineering tools and practices (SCM, CI/CD, IaC, Containerization, Package Management).
• Experience working with Linux, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS).
• Proficiency in tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, Artifactory, Sonar, and LaunchDarkly or equivalent.
• Experience with Agile development and release methodologies.
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage others to achieve and exceed goals.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and support DevOps practices and strategies.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, able to manage multiple priorities, adaptable to change, and skilled in documenting and presenting technical solutions
