Principal DevOps Engineer (Remote, Pakistan, PKR Salary)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure continuous and effective application operations in alignment with uptime service level agreements (SLAs).
• Strategize and plan activities necessary to sustain efficient operations amid environment expansion and changes.
• Conduct daily audits and reconcile transaction volumes and deliverables.
  Lead efforts in addressing and resolving errors and anomalies promptly.
• Perform random checks on job executions and processed documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards.
• Supervise optimization of cloud computing and storage usage.
  Establish comprehensive tool coverage for system monitoring, batch job reconciliation, and client workflow implementations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiencies.
• Utilize SQL queries and expertise in X12 EDI transaction formats to troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with technical support and development teams to isolate and resolve problems.
• Participate in off-hours on-call support rotations.
• Stay updated with new technologies integrated into the environment.
• Document operational, monitoring, and deployment procedures.
• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data on internal systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams like Engineering, Client Support, Implementation, and Account Management to keep customers informed and provide progress updates.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders and technical teams to coordinate solutions effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Engineering, or 10+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Effective communication, both written and verbal, alongside adept interpersonal skills are essential.
• Strong analytical prowess, coupled with the ability to lead teams and solve problems, is key.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging, along with a quick learning curve for new technical skills, is highly valued.
• Capability to interact effectively with clients, management, engineers, vendors, and customers, translating technical requirements into understandable language.
• Possess the skills to analyze workflows for improvement opportunities
  Updated on existing and emerging application software technologies.
• Deep understanding of computer systems design and architecture, encompassing hardware, software, databases, and networks.
• Independence in work with minimal guidance, quick and accurate performance under pressure.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like shell/SSH, Perl, etc.
• Experience with Apache, Java, RabbitMQ, Oracle, and cloud-based infrastructures are preferred, with certification as a bonus.
• Ability to collaborate closely with Development, Project Management, Quality Assurance, and Implementation teams.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems
  SQL skills for ad-hoc queries and support processes, database management capabilities are desired.
• Strong foundation in DevOps practices including CI/CD, automation, cloud management, and observability.
