Data Engineer – Platform (Onsite, Bahrain, BHD Salary)

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4-6 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering, financial data management, or a related domain.
• Professional training and hands-on experience in SQL development, SAS Enterprise Guide (EG), and SAS Data Integration (DI).
• Expert-level proficiency in ETL/EET/ETM tools and related data integration processes.
• Advanced experience with SQL Server T-SQL, including stored procedure and function development.
• Hands-on experience using SAS Enterprise Guide (EG) and SAS Data Integration (DI).
• Proven experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise data warehouses.
• Strong expertise in data modeling, including dimensional modeling, star schema, and snowflake schema.
• Experience designing and deploying data marts to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow statements.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Solid understanding of risk management, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk.
• Deep expertise in financial statements, Profit & Loss analysis, balance sheet structures, and market risk metrics.
• Experience managing and supporting month-end close processes within financial environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated commitment to data accuracy, consistency, and overall data quality.
• Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure financial environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Experience with batch processing systems and automated reporting solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Consolidate and analyze financial data, including budgets, forecasts, balance sheets, and Profit & Loss statements.
• Evaluate financial data in line with company goals and overall financial position.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data with accuracy.
• Manage and support the month-end close process with precision.
• Build stored procedures and ETL jobs to reconcile transactions across multiple systems.
• Compare, validate, and correct data to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Develop SQL Server T-SQL procedures and functions for batch processing and reporting.
• Align data processing solutions with business and user requirements.
• Design and implement SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Data Integration jobs for complex transformations and analytics.
• Contribute to data warehouse design and implementation using dimensional modeling.
• Support data architecture components, including schemas and warehouse structures.
• Design, implement, and optimize relational database management systems.
• Develop data marts to meet specific business intelligence and reporting needs.
• Ensure data solutions comply with regulatory and financial reporting standards.
• Support risk reporting processes with timely and accurate data delivery.
• Maintain data integrity for market risk, credit risk, and operational risk reporting.
