Principal DevOps Engineer (Onsite, Lahore, Remittance Salary)

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 - 10 years of hands-on DevOps experience, with ownership of production systems.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Proven expertise in Kubernetes and Docker.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or Java) with production experience.
• Experience operating and supporting 24×7 production environments with strong security and reliability requirements.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, data protection, and privacy best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Own keep the lights on responsibility for all production environments, including availability, performance, and reliability.
• Act as the primary owner for data security and privacy at the platform and infrastructure level.
• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native and scalable architectures, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
• Implement and manage infrastructure automation using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Own monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability, ensuring proactive issue detection and fast resolution.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and 24×7 on-call support for production systems.
• Automate and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable safe, consistent, and reliable deployments.
• Manage application deployments across distributed systems and enforce deployment standards and maintenance windows.
• Optimize infrastructure performance and control cloud costs through efficient resource utilization.
• Provide operational leadership and engineering support for multiple large-scale distributed applications.
