The Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to lead the finance and accounting function. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, strengthen internal controls, and provide strategic financial support to management as the company continues to deliver engineering and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and month-end/year-end closing
• Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, financial statements, cash-flow forecasts, and variance analysis
• Manage budgeting, costing, and project-related financial tracking (especially relevant for construction and engineering contracts)
• Ensure compliance with Hong Kong financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal control policies
• Supervise and develop the finance team; coordinate with site and project teams on cost control and reporting
• Support external audits, statutory filings, and any banking or financing arrangements
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business decisions

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualification (HKICPA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred
• Solid experience in finance and accounting management, ideally within the engineering, construction, or subcontracting industry
• Proven ability to handle multi-site operations and a workforce of several hundred staff
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong accounting standards, tax, and compliance requirements
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese)
