General Manager

Location: Hong Kong ShaTin

Our client are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to join the Buddhist temple in Hong Kong.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the temple, managing staff, and ensuring the smooth running of all activities and events.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the temple, including managing staff, finances, and facilities
• Develop and implement strategies to promote the temple and increase participation in temple activities and events
• Plan and organize events and ceremonies, including coordinating with other temples and organizations as required
• Manage the maintenance and upkeep of the temple facilities and grounds
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including health and safety regulations
• Develop and maintain relationships with community members, donors, and stakeholders
• Develop and manage budgets, oversee financial transactions and report on financial performance
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the temple
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff and volunteers
• Perform any other duties as required by the Board of Directors

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior management role, preferably in a non-profit or religious organization
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Strong general management skills
• Knowledge of Buddhist philosophy and practices preferred
• Fluency in Cantonese and English is required
