About our client:
Our client is seeking an experienced APAC Operations Director to manage a wholly owned subsidiary across APAC region. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding the operations in the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on development, production, and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and Manage Subsidiary: Lead the establishment of a Limited business entity in Vietnam for the consolidation and export of goods for global distribution.
- Development Liaison: Conduct routine travel to China for on-site development work with key production facilities, secondary parts vendors, and raw material suppliers.
- Client Management: Act as the development and production liaison for ODM & JDM clients, ensuring alignment with brands across various sectors.
- Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and supplier agreements with all partners to optimize cost and quality.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee all accounts receivable/payable, annual tax audits, and manage a purchasing budget
- Staff Supervision: Supervise all staff, including Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Procurement teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the manufacturing or supply chain sector.
- Proven experience in establishing and managing business operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in supplier management.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication in English;
