Our client is a leading Hong Kong media group with a long-standing reputation for quality journalism and content. Our client are undergoing strategic transformation to strengthen both our print and digital businesses in a rapidly evolving media landscape.

The Role

We are seeking a Manager, Strategy to join our strategy team. You will report directly to the Deputy CEO and play a hands-on role in translating high-level group strategies into actionable execution plans. This is a strategic and transformation-oriented position focused on driving real operational impact rather than pure advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Implementation: Translate group-level strategies into clear, operational roadmaps and work plans. Ensure projects are executed on time and achieve their targets.
  • OKR Management: Assist in deploying, coordinating, and tracking OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) across various business units to ensure operational alignment with group goals.
  • Change Management Support: Work closely with business units to execute change management processes, optimize workflows, and minimize friction during internal restructurings.
  • Data & Progress Analysis: Consolidate internal operational data, analyze transformation progress, and prepare regular, fact-based status updates for management review.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Serve as a reliable bridge between the Strategy department and operational business units, resolving alignment issues at the execution level.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of solid experience in corporate strategy, internal transformation, project execution, or change management roles.
  • Background Preference: Prior in-house corporate experience is required. Candidates must have hands-on experience dealing with the practical realities of internal implementation. Pure advisory or consulting backgrounds without internal corporate experience will not be prioritized.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in tracking tools and data organization.
  • Execution Capabilities: A proven doer mindset. Comfortable building trackers, organizing alignment meetings, and working alongside operational teams (beyond just creating presentation slides).
  • Communication Style: Clear, direct, and collaborative. Must have the maturity to coordinate effectively with mid-to-senior business unit managers without generating unnecessary friction.
