Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

Our Client: A leading financial firm undergoing a firmwide AI transformation. They are building a brand-new, high-impact Equity Research AI team to revolutionize market intelligence across Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shanghai.

Responsibilities:

• Work embedded directly within the Equity Research teams to deeply understand their workflows and identify operational bottlenecks.
• Rapidly prototype, ship, and integrate custom AI/LLM tools directly into daily investment and research operations.
• Act as the technical translator and primary engineering touchpoint, turning complex researcher requirements into scalable software solutions.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in full-stack engineering, solutions architecture, or technical deployment roles (open to more senior candidates).
• Mainland China backgrounds are highly welcome, especially graduates from top-tier institutions such as Tsinghua University, Fudan University, or Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
• Non-finance backgrounds are perfectly acceptable; experience in tech startups, in-house tech teams, or consulting firms using AI to optimize business operations is highly valued.
• Strong coding skills (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) and familiarity with cloud architecture and API integrations.
• Fluency in English; strong proficiency in Chinese is a distinct advantage for regional collaboration.
