About the job Molding Technician
The Diagnostic Technician supports the Molding Business Units performance objectives by identifying issues, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring all molding equipment operates efficiently and safely. This role focuses primarily on molding press repair, maintenance, and process support.
You will work closely with the Molding Process Engineer and Senior Mold Diagnostic Technician to assist with troubleshooting, equipment setup, preventive maintenance, and technical improvements.
Essential Functions

Support molding operations through problem identification and corrective action implementation.

Perform repairs and maintenance on molding presses.

Apply knowledge of safety standards and operational procedures.

Maintain awareness of product performance and quality requirements.

Assist technical teams with molding press diagnostics, process efficiency improvements, and preventive maintenance.

Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Diagnostic Technician role in a molding environment.

Utilize knowledge of injection molding processes, mold technologies, and press systems.

Develop a strong understanding of assigned molding equipment, including setup, process adjustments, and root-cause analysis.

Take daily direction from the Molding Process Engineer and Senior Mold Diagnostic Technician.
Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in a molding environment.

Molding Processing Certification (e.g., RJG Essential/Master Molder I) or comparable training.

Demonstrated ability to learn and apply complex molding concepts and principles.

Experience in:

Mold press maintenance and troubleshooting

Hydraulic and servo-controlled systems

Mold temperature controller programming and maintenance
-
Material feed systems (silo-to-hopper flow)

Mold press maintenance and troubleshooting

Ability to work a rotating 12-hour day shift. Preferred Qualifications
