Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Outpatient Oncology to provide dual leadership oversight for an established outpatient clinic and a newly opening clinic located nearby. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered nursing care while managing daily operations, staffing, and clinical outcomes.

The Nurse Manager will operationalize evidence-based practices, support regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership oversight for daily unit/department operations and staffing

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered nursing care aligned with established policies and standards

  • Monitor, evaluate, and improve clinical outcomes and patient safety initiatives

  • Support accreditation, regulatory compliance, and achievement of internal/external benchmarks

  • Manage admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient throughput

  • Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination across departments

  • Assign staff based on clinical competencies and patient care needs

  • Lead efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness

  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and service excellence

  • Review patient satisfaction feedback and implement improvement strategies

  • Support service recovery efforts and uphold a patient-first philosophy

  • Manage staff scheduling and productivity according to established guidelines

  • Oversee operating expenses, supplies, and equipment utilization

  • Ensure equipment maintenance meets regulatory and accreditation standards

Qualifications

Required:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) – Licensed in Texas or Compact State

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (Required)

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification

  • Oncology Chemotherapy Certification

  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare leadership experience

Preferred:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

  • 2–5 years of clinical or leadership experience
