Sourcing Specialist China
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the development of various product categories under Oster License, ensuring margin compliance, supplier agreements, supplier evaluation, and product mix depth in coordination with the companys commercial team. This role plays a key part in identifying and managing supplier relationships while overseeing product sourcing and development to support business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct factory research to identify specific products based on requests from the Product Manager or Sourcing team.
- Evaluate suppliers, including brokers and factories, assessing reliability, reputation, and initial product quality.
- Inspect and evaluate prototypes and new factories.
- Create and confirm Bills of Materials (BOM) for all products in the lineup.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with factories, including seasonal promotions.
- Maintain and update product price lists per factory.
- Monitor raw material costs and exchange rate fluctuations impacting price stability.
- Coordinate product photoshoots and video creation for marketing materials.
- Oversee DUPRO and final production inspections for special orders.
- Manage sample shipments from factories to customers.
- Follow up with the Compliance team to ensure product certification processes.
- Provide product training and information to the Product Management team in LATAM.
- Identify product trends suitable for the Latin American market based on industry events and factory visits.
- Assess environmental and social compliance standards for factories.
- Collaborate with after-sales service and compliance teams to improve product quality.
- Support warranty claim management and after-sales processes.
- Follow up on signing and maintenance of Supplier Agreements.

- Factory assessment reports and balanced scorecards.
- Inspection reports for prototypes and final production.
- BOM documentation.
- General and special price lists, including factory-specific pricing.
- Monthly performance reports.
- Organized product photo and video files in SharePoint.
- Proposed product lineup reports.
- Factory reports and compliance documentation.
- FTR management records.
- Signed agreements and supplier documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong background in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Experience in supplier negotiations and factory evaluations.
- Understanding of compliance standards for product certification and social responsibility.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, compliance, and after-sales teams.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin preferred.
