Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team at The Provincial Restaurant. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards. You will work closely with the owners and restaurant manager to create innovative and delicious menus that reflect our commitment to using fresh, local ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards

- Collaborate with other chefs to create new and exciting menu items

- Ensure food is prepared and presented in a timely and consistent manner

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and hygiene standards

- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff

- Monitor and control food waste and kitchen expenses

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations

- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques

Requirements:

- Certificate IV in commercial cookery or above

- Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role

- Passion for food and creativity in the kitchen

- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Team player with strong communication and leadership skills

- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

- Must be eligible to work in Australia

Contract Details:

This is a full-time position with a salary of $80,000 - $85,000 per year plus superannuation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, with opportunities for career growth and development.
