Position Summary
We are looking for motivated individuals who enjoy researching destinations, solving planning challenges, and helping clients organize vacations that fit their needs. As a Travel Planning Consultant, you will work with clients from the initial planning stage through reservation coordination, providing helpful information and keeping important details on track.
Planning requests may include all-inclusive vacations, cruises, resort stays, family trips, romantic getaways, group experiences, tours, and international destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Discuss trip ideas, preferred dates, budgets, and priorities with clients
- Research destinations and available vacation services
- Compare hotels, resorts, cruises, tours, excursions, activities, and transportation
- Develop recommendations based on each client's individual requirements
- Explain relevant features, package inclusions, and available supplier offers
- Coordinate requested arrangements using approved reservation resources
- Review traveler information and booking details for accuracy
- Track deposits, final payments, documentation needs, and important deadlines
- Prepare and organize confirmation and itinerary information
- Communicate updates and follow up on outstanding planning decisions
- Assist with common questions and routine reservation changes
- Maintain current and organized client records
- Continue learning about destinations, suppliers, and vacation products
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused and comfortable working directly with clients
- Good research and problem-solving abilities
- Organized with careful attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple requests and follow-ups
- Comfortable working independently in a virtual setting
- Basic computer, email, and internet proficiency
- Willing to learn online booking tools and supplier systems
- Reliable internet access and compatible device
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must reside in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, Mexico, or other qualifying regions
