We are seeking an experienced and professional Front Desk Receptionist for a busy chiropractic practice in Downtown Macon, GA. The Front Desk Receptionist will play a vital role in managing daily operations, ensuring smooth patient flow, maintaining accurate electronic records, and delivering exceptional service to patients. This position is crucial to the efficiency of the practice and the overall patient experience, reporting directly to the office manager.

  • Practice Operations:

    • Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
    • Schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups, initial consultations, and treatment sessions.
    • Maintain and update patient records in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
    • Verify patient insurance information and coverage for chiropractic treatments.
    • Provide patients with appropriate forms and educate them on treatment plans, billing procedures, and insurance options.
    • Assist with coordinating appointments for ancillary services (e.g., X-rays, referrals for physical therapy).
    • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
    • Collect patient payments, co-pays, and manage billing inquiries as needed.
    • Compile daily and weekly patient reports, ensuring the front office area is organized and well-maintained.
  • Patient Interaction:

    • Field all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner, directing inquiries to the appropriate team members.
    • Communicate with patients regarding upcoming appointments, treatment updates, and follow-up procedures.
    • Provide clear and effective communication regarding office policies, treatment options, and insurance details.
    • Ensure high levels of customer service by addressing patient concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Assist patients in understanding chiropractic care processes, including adjustments, spinal decompression, and physical rehabilitation.
  • General Office Duties:

    • Support office staff with administrative tasks such as filing, managing office supplies, and assisting during high-volume periods.
    • Ensure a clean, organized, and positive front office environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 3+ years of experience in a front desk or administrative role, with preference for experience in a medical or chiropractic setting.
  • Medical Assistant Certification (a plus).
  • Billing and Coding (CPT) experience (a plus).
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of chiropractic terminology and office procedures is highly preferred.
  • Experience with EMR systems like Jane, Eclipse, E Clinical etc. and proficiency in computer software, including data entry.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • A professional, patient-focused demeanor with a commitment to long-term employment.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Thursday: 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:30 AM - 12 PM
  • First Saturday of each month.
