About the Role

  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
  • Monitor network performance and ensure network system availability and reliability
  • Monitor network system resource utilization trending and capacity planning
  • Architecture review and design for existing or new environment
  • Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to network infrastructure
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and for the alignment of best practices are adopted in all aspects of operations and project implementation
  • Willing to explore / share emerging technologies and propose changes where needed
  • Work independently, self-initiative, good interpersonal skills & work under pressure
  • Work on weekend / non-office hour as required

About You

  • At least 5 years hands-on relevant experience
  • Deep understanding of LAN/WAN/WIFI/NAC technology and networking environment
  • Familiarity with TCP / IP stack, switching & routing network, wireless network, ACLs, policy-based routing, dynamic routing (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
  • Proficiency in private and public WAN technologies (MPLS, VPLS, DIA, VPN, SD-WAN)
  • With experience in network automation implementation, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
  • Hands-on experience in F5 load balancing, ASM, APM
  • Hands-on experience in firewall management including security protection (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper)
  • Experience in CDN, WAF, DDOS, BOT protection
  • Experience in Hypervisors network connectivity and Cloud connectivity (e.g.,
  • VMware, AWS, Azure) is a plus
  • CCNP or higher is an advantage
  • Degree or diploma holder in networking
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Network Specialist
