About the Job: Commis Chef - Breakfast Section

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a dedicated Commis Chef to join our Breakfast Section. This entry-level position supports the Chef de Partie in preparing and serving high-quality breakfast items. You will be responsible for assisting with hot and cold breakfast preparations, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining a smooth and hygienic kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chef de Partie with all breakfast food preparation, including hot items (e.g., eggs, sausages, pancakes) and cold items (e.g., salads, fruits, cold cuts).
• Set up and maintain a clean and organized breakfast workstation, following all hygiene and food safety standards.
• Support in the receiving, labeling, and proper storage of deliveries.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils after breakfast service.
• Help with plating and presenting breakfast dishes according to set standards.
• Follow standard recipes and breakfast preparation procedures.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during busy breakfast hours.
• Be proactive in learning new breakfast items and kitchen techniques.
• Report any safety issues or equipment malfunctions to the Chef de Partie.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in hotels or upscale restaurants in the UAE.
