Project Assistant, System Migration Project (Banking)

(1-year contract, subjects to renewable)

A reputable China-based Bank with its Group Company listed in Hong Kong is looking for a high-calibre Project Assistant in her IT Project Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in System Migration Project in either function, such as Global Banking / Treasury, Credit Risk & Control, Credit Modelling & Credit Stress TestMarket Risk, etc.
  • Assist to prepare related user requirements, establish detailed test cases and participate in user acceptance tests
  • Liaise with the system analysts and system vendors for clarifying the user requirements in the above aspects
  • Assist in identifying, measuring, monitoring and reporting related risks of the above functions
  • Assess the various risks of the newly-developed products, establish and maintain the risk assessment of those management systems
  • Support the team in conducting data analysis reviews, preparing regular risk management reports and performing ad hoc projects upon request

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in IT, Quantitative Finance, Computational Finance, Financial Engineering, Risk Management, Finance, Statistics or relevant discipline
  • At least 2-year relevant experience in banking or financial markets, with Professional qualification in CFA/FRM/PRM
  • Good understanding in banking products and related systems
  • Knowledge in various risk systems of Global Banking & Corporate Banking
  • Strong in PC and programming skills such as SQL, VBA, Excel and Chinese word processing is an advantage
  • Strong analytical mind, independent, good problem-solving and multi-tasks handling ability
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with good report-writing skills
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua is preferable
