Risk Management Manager, Market Risk (Banking) (1 year renewable contract)

A reputable China-based Bank with its Group Company listed in Hong Kong is looking for a high-calibre Risk Management Manager on Market Risk Team.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to treasury system revamp enhancing market risk management functions

• Assist to prepare the market risk related user requirements, establish detailed test cases and participate in user acceptance tests

• Liaise with the system analysts and system vendors for clarifying the user requirements in market risk aspects

• Assist in developing market risk data warehouse, report automation and risk control workflow

• Assist in identifying, measuring, monitoring and reporting market risk of the treasury activities in the bank

• Assess the market risk of the new treasury products, establish and maintain the market risk management systems

• Support the team in conducting data analysis reviews, preparing regular risk management reports and performing ad hoc projects upon request

• Assist in market risk model assessment and enhancing the market risk management framework in compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Quantitative Finance, Computational Finance, Financial Engineering, Risk Management, Finance, Statistics or relevant discipline

• At least 2-year relevant experience in banking or financial markets, with Professional qualification in CFA/FRM/PRM

• Good understanding in treasury products and market risk management

• Proven experience in treasury system revamp and data migration

• Knowledge in treasury and market risk systems, e.g. Murex, Front Arena, Kondor+, RiskManager, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Opics is preferable

• Strong in PC and programming skills such as SQL, VBA, Excel and Chinese word processing is an advantage

• Sound knowledge in the regulatory requirements and development on market risk perspectives, with hands-on experience in latest risk management development

• Strong analytical mind, independent, good problem-solving and multi-tasks handling ability

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with good report-writing skills

• Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua is preferable
