Job Summary
Taking exclusive ownership of the entire finance function, from day-to-day transaction processing and payroll execution to comprehensive Group reporting.

Finance Manager is designed as a strategic local leadership track. Upon demonstrated success and excellent performance, the incumbent might be positioned to take on the General Manager role for the Hong Kong entity.

Responsibilities

Group and Statutory Financial Reporting

  • Solely responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for the German Head Quarters, ensuring adherence to Group Reporting Standards (e.g., IFRS/HGB principles).
  • Hands-on ownership of the full cycle accounting process, ensuring financial statements comply with HKFRS for statutory filings.
  • Manage all complex GL activities, fixed assets, accruals, and ensure correct intercompany reconciliations with the German entities.

Payroll and Local Compliance Management

  • Exclusive responsibility for the accurate and timely execution of the monthly payroll for employees, including calculations and associated accounting entries.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Hong Kong Profits Tax, management of Employers Returns, and administration of all MPF contributions and reporting.
  • Primary point of contact for external auditors and local tax advisors.

Controlling and Financial Analysis

  • Lead the local budgeting and forecasting processes in alignment with Group planning cycles.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis, providing insightful management reports to the local leadership and German HQ, identifying risks and opportunities in the lean structure.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive, hands-on experience in corporate accounting, controlling, and payroll administration, preferably gained within a small-scale multinational environment.
  • Certified Public Accountant (e.g., HKICPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Expert-level, practical knowledge of HKFRS, Hong Kong tax, and MPF regulations is non-negotiable.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, demonstrated leadership potential, and the commitment to execute all finance and compliance tasks in a small-office setting.
  • Fluent English and Mandarin/Cantonese (written and verbal) are essential for business communication within the region and with local authorities.
  • Knowledge of the Kingdee ERP system is advantageous.
