Job Summary

  • This role will be required to drive sales on the full range of packaging products in Asia Pacific and stimulate new product and market growth through business development; develop technical-oriented solutions across all segments (food and beverages, pharma/nutrients, chemical/agri-chem, personal care and household, etc), develop and execute deal direct initiative, identify new opportunities, sponsoring and closing projects with customers and end-users contacts.
  • He/she also need to take up the technical service manager role when needed/appropriate and developing APAC product offerings on vented solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue budget by generating and closing new projects via developing relationships with customers & end-users deal direct.
  • Drive sales of packaging products in selected/focused segments, identifying and closing project opportunities via the relationship built mentioned above.
  • Coordinate activities between customers & company factories in >7 global locations, and business partners in China/APAC and update of requests, opportunities and reports on Salesforce promptly and regularly.
  • Attend new product trials and trouble-shooting of application problems to optimize customers experience of packaging materials.
  • Be the technical lead of APAC, job includes taking up the technical service manager role to support other colleagues in trouble-shooting of application problems when requested; operating and presenting the technical related equipment at our future showroom in Tiger site and also at external seminars.
  • Develop an APAC product offerings on vented solutions and work with Grand Rapids team in planning and implementing the product offerings through the full sales cycle.
  • Be involved in collecting market intelligence and conducting competitor landscape analysis.
  • Establish and maintain strong work relationship and healthy communication with colleagues locally and overseas across all factories.
  • Frequent travel will be required throughout China, APAC and Seligs global factories. Expect minimum of 50% travel, some trips will be acted as Technical Service/Field Service role, but most of the travel will be independent.
  • Willing to work periodically at evening hours to attend web-based meetings and maintain active contacts with colleagues in US and EU time zones.

Requirements

  • Graduate-level in technical and science degree preferred.
  • 8 years working experiences, of which 3 years of experience working for related packaging manufacturers.
  • Experience of working with packaging suppliers and end-users in food, nutri/pharma, agri-chem segments.
  • Experience of working with international team, managing sales projects through to completion.
  • Strong in developing personal relationships with multiple levels of people/various departments.
  • Strong technical know-how in packaging and experience working in technical area.
  • Ability to analyse data and write concise reports, with sales and technical nature.
  • Strong customer focused mentality.
  • Independent and have experiences working in a small team with minimal support.
  • Working proficiency in English & Chinese (Mandarin).
