Job Summary
As the Director of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement food and beverage strategies that align with the hotel's objectives and goals.
- Manage and lead a team of food and beverage professionals, including chefs, servers, bartenders, and support staff.
- Ensure high-quality food and beverage offerings that meet or exceed guest expectations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality products and competitive pricing.
- Monitor and control food and beverage costs to maximize profitability.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff members are knowledgeable and skilled in their roles.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and standards.
- Regularly review and update menus to provide guests with fresh and innovative food and beverage offerings.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as sales and marketing, to develop and implement promotional campaigns and events.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and developments and implement best practices where appropriate.
- Participate in the hotel's senior management team and contribute to the overall success of the hotel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication in English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful food and beverage strategies.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and control costs.
- Knowledge of current health and safety regulations and standards.
- A passion for food and beverage and a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences.
