Responsibilities

• Support the monthly reports for the U.S. GAAP reporting to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely financial and management reporting to senior management.
• Handle the SOX documentation related to finance procedures and provide audit support and documentation for external, internal and SOX audits.
• Prepare the management and expenses reports for month-end reporting.
• Support the quarterly returns to local regulator and handle the Government survey.
• Collaborate with numerous internal departments to assure integrity of client data and reports and continually evaluate quality of information for accuracy and compliance.
• Work with other functional areas to achieve efficient and effective accounting practices and procedures and respond to and request from other functional areas on various inquiries.
• Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements that may extend beyond the area of oversight.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Chartered Accountant or CPA certification or equivalent.
• 5+ years accounting/finance experience in (re)insurance industry or Public Accounting Firm experience.
• Good communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Basic Word, intermediate Excel, and/ or Access and SQL/Query skills.
• Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives.
• Able to work independently, under pressures and demanding deadlines.
• Complex investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.
• Ability to work well within a team.
