Job Summary

As a Senior Human Resources Manager for a banking branch, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all human resources functions within the branch. Your primary focus will be to ensure the efficient and effective execution of HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support the branch's overall goals and objectives. You will collaborate with branch leadership, employees, and other HR professionals to create a positive work environment and promote employee engagement, productivity, and retention.

Responsibilities

1. HR Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the branch's objectives and the overall organizational HR strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify HR priorities and initiatives to support business goals.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improvements.

2. Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Foster a positive work environment and employee relations by promoting open communication, addressing employee concerns, and resolving conflicts.
  • Implement engagement initiatives, including recognition programs, employee surveys, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Advise and support branch management on employee performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.

3. Recruitment and Talent Management:

  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection of qualified candidates.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
  • Collaborate with branch management to identify high-potential employees and develop talent management strategies, including succession planning and career development.

4. Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop appropriate programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions on topics such as compliance, customer service, leadership, and professional development.
  • Support employees' career growth by providing guidance on training opportunities and career path planning.

5. Compensation and Benefits:

  • Administer compensation programs, including salary reviews, bonus plans, and incentives, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with the corporate HR department to review and update compensation and benefits programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on benefits enrollment, leave management, and other HR-related matters.

6. HR Compliance and Policy Implementation:

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and banking industry standards.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and adherence across the branch.
  • Stay updated on changes in HR laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

7. HR Reporting and Analytics:

  • Prepare HR reports and metrics for branch management and corporate HR.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance HR practices, policies, and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years' experience in human resources management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations and the unique HR challenges within the industry.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bilingual English/Chinese.
