Responsibilities
- Demonstrate fulfillment of the country's requirements and be duly authorized to practice medicine by the licensing authorities.
- Provide documentation of medical license and proof of liability insurance that will be kept on file in the facility.
- Serve as an active member of the facility Managing Team.
- Attend and participate in meetings within the company as requested.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of country clinical policies and procedures in adherence with the corporate clinical and local MOH required policies.
- Abide by the policies and procedures mandated by all appropriate governmental agencies, Chief Medical Officer (SVP, Medical) and local MOH.
- Ensure implementation and compliance with all clinical policies and procedures.
- Review Medical Staff credentials to ensure compliance with requirements for practice in a dialysis facility.
- Oversee Medical Staff practice and ensure quality care is provided.
- Ensure physician coverage of the facility as required by the Health Minister or other regulation.
- Serve as a liaison with hospitals and other providers of clinical service to patients.
- Review clinical and facility reports to ensure quality and compliance with company policy and all other appropriate regulatory agencies. Reports include, but are not limited to:
- patient outcome data.
- water quality and preventive maintenance.
- equipment maintenance.
- mortality rates.
- infection control.
- medical records.
- Serve as a member of the QA Committee.
- Consult as needed with the Chief Medical Officer and the Corporate Medical Office regarding any medical issues within the country.
- Review reports from the Chief Medical Officer and the Corporate Medical Office to ensure the medical quality is carried out in the country according to company standards.
- Communicate with the Clinic Medical Directors within the country to ensure that:
- Reports and other information from the Chief Medical Officer and the Corporate Medical Office are appropriately disseminated within the country.
- All reports as well as any other required information are submitted to the Chief Medical Officer and the Corporate Medical Office as requested.
- Identify possible medical deficiencies in the country and initiate appropriate measures in cooperation with the Chief Medical Officer and the Corporate Medical Office.
- Ensure implementation of the company education programs and other education initiatives.
- Identify general and specific medical education opportunities in the country and communicate these to the Chief Medical Officer and the Corporate Medical Office.
- Support the companys scientific image and research activities.
- Support and supervise research and promotional activities.
- Participate in decision making related to the use of drugs and medical supplies in the country.
- Support the implementation of country activities aimed at improving clinical efficiency.
- Carry out additional applicable tasks assigned by CM or other management.
Requirements
- Registered physician (MD), and preferably PhD (or similar experience) in the field of medicine.
- Specialization in Nephrology and Internal Medicine.
- Attending or above professional title is plus.
- Certified in BLS and preferably in ACLS.
- 5+ years within the field of nephrology and 5+years working experience in leadership role and management experience.
- Business understanding.
- Good at written and spoken English, and Mandarin will be preferred.
- Computer literate and MS-Office package.
