Job Summary

Responsible for managing Finance Operational tasks, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). In this role, you will implement new systems and enhance operational processes. You'll view process controls as opportunities for improvement and proactively identify areas for enhancement in both processes and systems. This position requires someone adaptable to change and who thrives in a transforming and growing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performing a comprehensive range of financial operational tasks with a focus on accounts receivable reconciliations.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure all accounting and finance reporting deadlines are met.
  • Analyzing financial transactions and coordinating actions with the claims, underwriting, and operations teams.
  • Supporting the implementation of finance projects, including the new accounting system.
  • Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enhancements in finance and business operation systems.
  • Liaising with auditors, governmental departments, and other external bodies as needed.
  • Carrying out ad hoc tasks and other duties assigned by the manager.
  • Reviewing financial data and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance operation from insurance industry.
  • Good knowledge of insurance accounting standards. Experience in Oracle would be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work and communicate effectively with different departments.
  • Integrity, honesty, understanding of data privacy standard.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive, resilient, a self-starter and critical thinker.
  • Fluent in oral and written English. Conversational in Cantonese is highly preferred.
