Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cutting Department Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cutting department. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cutting operations, a proven track record in managing complex production processes, and the ability to lead a team to achieve high efficiency and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Cutting department, ensuring efficiency and high-quality output.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and assessment standards to maintain and enhance department performance.
  • Supervise cutting processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery of products.
  • Optimize manpower and equipment allocation to improve production efficiency and product quality.
  • Continuously monitor and improve operational processes to strengthen department performance.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to communicate, coordinate, and resolve issues in the production process.
  • Address and solve cutting-related challenges in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the safety and maintenance of all machinery and equipment within the department.
  • Manage small run cutting across a broad and complex range of fabrics, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with a strong focus on cost efficiency and operational success.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a cutting or related role within a major manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in cutting operations, including working with Pattern Markers and CAD experts.
  • Proficient in calculating cut lengths and understanding Gerber Cutting, Fusing, and Rib Cutting techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to cut various styles across multiple fabric types.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in office software applications.
  • Strong leadership skills, particularly in driving change and managing interpersonal relationships.
  • Fluency in Chinese is required.
