Job Summary

As the Technical Director, you will be pivotal in overseeing and enhancing the technical aspects of the active sport, swim and leisurewear ranges. You will maintain product quality, fit, and performance, exceeding customer expectations and driving satisfaction. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding and providing technical direction to specialized teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve sensational product ranges.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall product quality, fit, and performance will exceed customer expectations.
• Lead Fit and Garment Technologists in addressing customer needs and closely collaborate with the Sampling and Manufacturing teams.
• Play a vital role in all technical aspects of production, guiding to achieve and maintain the required quality.
• Collaborate and support the Innovation and Product Design teams to create cutting-edge ranges.
• Explore and develop alternative product creation methods, such as laser, ultrasonic, adhesive, and bonding technology.
• Assess and determine the performance and compatibility of fabrics and components used.
• Audit and participate in manufacturing processes to ensure seamless alignment from product design to mass production.
• Establish and manage a robust system for maintaining clear and concise records of all procedures and technical developments.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Engineering, Textile Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the apparel industry, focusing on technical aspects and product quality.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and fit assessment.
• Familiarity with innovative product creation techniques, such as laser cutting, ultrasonic welding, and bonding technology.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to solve technical challenges and implement process improvements.
