Medical Director

Responsibilities

• To be in charge of the everyday running of the dialysis centre.
• Supervise the equipment checking and equipment maintenance.
• Supervise the clinical performance of the staff.
• Organize training for the staff.
• Handle complaints and to refer to the medical director if necessary.
• Liaise with the Medical Director and hold meetings with the Medical Director.
• Liaise with other dialysis centres for co-operation through the Hong Kong Renal Dialysis Liaison Group.
• Liaise with the Department of Health and to comply with their requirement.
• Order consumables and to handle the maintenance work of the Centre.
• Consider applying for the PPP-HD scheme.
• Other tasks that are allotted by management.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse.
• At least 10 years experience working in renal units.
• Completed renal course training approved by the Hong Kong College of Physicians.
• Able to liaise, co-operate and negotiate with the Office of the Private Healthcare Facilities, Department of Health.
• To be able to liaise with other dialysis centres through the Hong Kong Dialysis Centres Liaison Group.
• To be able to communicate with nephrologists through the Hong Kong Nephrology Group.
