Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the Structures Manager and Function Expert to oversee the design and development of body structures, utilizing both metallics and composites for new and existing production vehicles.
- Conceiving and generating CAD models, ensuring they meet technical and project approval criteria.

Contributing to the integration and design of new features or components.
- Developing and managing component strategies to ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Partnering with function experts, attribute teams, quality teams, and suppliers to deliver structural solutions that set industry benchmarks and meet project deadlines and budget requirements.
- Presenting complex topics and critical decisions to the Chief Engineer and Programme Manager.

Assisting in the deployment of new methodologies and process improvements.
- Attending supplier visits, test facilities for hands-on development.
- Creating CAD models for system designs, ensuring accurate integration with CAE simulations and DMU releasing procedures.
- Supporting system development from early design stages by collaborating with concept and packaging teams to define vehicle layouts during the pre-program phase.
- Managing engineering targets related to weight, cost, and performance attributes while fostering collaboration between various teams.
- Supporting benchmarking efforts to ensure the competitiveness of the structural designs and products.
- Overseeing testing processes and optimizing structural designs, including managing the DVP for components.
- Participating in concurrent engineering efforts and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration of structural systems.
- Demonstrating strong project management capabilities, including the ability to create timing plans, perform critical path analysis, and engage in scenario-based planning.
- Promoting the development of innovative concepts and technologies in the field of body structures.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a body structures-related role is ideal, though all candidates will be considered.

Experience with structural composites is a notable advantage.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks while maintaining clear communication.
- Familiarity with automotive processes such as Product Planning, Quality Maturation, and Release procedures.

High-level competence with CATIA V6/3DX.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Strong skills in technical organization, project planning, and supplier management.
- Proven history of successful delivery of structural designs in both metallic and composite materials.
